Anne Cousins wrote some beautiful verse including a poem of almost 20 verses. It begins, “The sands of time are sinking”.
You might wish to Google it and read all the verses for yourself.
When I was first diagnosed with cancer over 20 years ago a verse of Cousin’s poem came to my mind.
Now, 6 surgeries and some two decades later it still blesses me greatly for its wonderful description of the believer in death.
I shall sleep sound in Jesus, filled with His likeness rise,
To live and to adore Him to see Him with these eyes.
Twixt me and resurrection but Paradise doeth stand,
Then, then for glory dwelling in Immanuel’s Land.
