“But my God shall supply all your need…”
I recall working for an electronics company that seemed to have endless supplies of parts to build the televisions their customers demanded.
One day the entire assembly line had to shut down because someone forgot to order several thousand of one 5 cent parts.
All each TV needed was one of these components that cost next to nothing, but because of an oversight by the purchasing department everything came to a halt.
It does not matter who it is that is creating a product, supplies can easily run out and the production line stops.
As we think of the Lord and how He takes care of our needs on a daily basis, it is remarkable to rest assured His supply will never fail us.
Whether it is just some small matter or whether it is something great, our God’s supply never fails. No storm in life, no disastrous event will ever take our God by surprise and cause His will to be thwarted.
God moves in a mysterious way
his wonders to perform.
He plants his footsteps in the sea
and rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines
of never-failing skill,
he treasures up his bright designs
and works his sovereign will.
You fearful saints, fresh courage take;
the clouds you so much dread
are big with mercy and shall break
in blessings on your head.
His purposes will ripen fast,
unfolding every hour.
The bud may have a bitter taste,
but sweet will be the flower.
Blind unbelief is sure to err
and scan his work in vain.
God is his own interpreter,
and he will make it plain.
