One day many years ago when I worked in an accounting office I had a conversation with a self professed atheist. Nothing I said made an impression on him. Finally he said, "Look Gordon, if God will turn my blue shirt white then I will believe in Him."

The man wanted God to do something spectacular that does not happen in life and then he would accept the idea that there really is a God after all. Sadly God does not do unusual things like changing the colour of someone's shirt just to prove He is there and listening to the conversation.

Taking a serious look at the universe around us, the majesty, beauty, and unbelievable power that is there to be observed is astounding. More and more, scientists doing research discover just how finely tuned everything has to be for life to exist.

There are so many variables that had to be lined up with infinite precision for it all to work. Mathematicians tell us that the odds of it all coming together to sustain life are ridiculous. There must be an intelligent Mind behind everything.

Considering the glories of creation, we are spellbound by it all. Turning a blue shirt white is so inconsequential a matter after seeing the majesty of God expressed in a telescope or microscope.

Will you listen to the "gentle whisper" of your Creator that comes to your heart.
